| Our Approach To Executive Recruiting |
| An individual search is usually completed in approximately 14 to 16 weeks. However, the timeline is depedendent on the complexity of each search. We will modify and finalize the search structure to best meet your organization's needs. Our goal is to find the best candidates in a comprehensive, yet expeditious manner. |
| Below is what our clients may expect from a typical search. |
| Phase One: Defining your Executive Search Needs
|
| Perhaps the most crucial phase, we will work extensively with you to define your requirements and the parameters of the position. We take the time to carefully consider the culture and goals of your organization. After clearly defining the relationships, skills, experience, responsibilities and challenges of the position, we prepare a position profile. This profile is the guiding force of our search efforts.
|
| Phase Two: Networking, Candidate Identification and Development |
| During this phase, we focus on finding sources, prospects, and potential candidates. Additionally in this stage, we begin the initial screening process, which includes phone screens, screening interviews, and initial reference checking. At the conclusion of Phase Two, FPS will have a pool of talented candidates for your consideration.
|
| Phase Three: Semi-Finalists, Interviews and the Final Selection |
| Upon identifying finalists, FPS conducts extensive reference checking on each semi-final candidate by contacting individuals capable of providing insight about job history, leadership qualifications and character.
|
| FPS will review each of the recommended candidates with you and discuss strengths and applicable experience. We will assist in arranging individual meetings with identified and selected semi-finalists and conduct Candidate Presentations with all key stakeholders and/or Search Committee members.

| "The United States Committee for UNFPA faced several major challenges in late 2003 - our President was undergoing extensive medical treatment and could not work, the staff that was left was dispirited and without direction, and we needed help to face a new political climate in Washington that would not release Congressionally approved money for UNFPA. Fortunately, we found Gail Freeman, and she lead us by the hand through the search process with the result that we have a dynamic new president and and vice president for development. We feel the Committee is back on track and blazing ahead, thanks to this new leadership, and the insights we gained through the search process about our own goals and direction.
