Gail L. Freeman

Gail L. Freeman is Founder and President of Freeman Philanthropic Services, L.L.C., a full-service firm offering a broad range of services including fund-raising consulting, training, and executive search for leading not-for-profit organizations nationwide. As a recognized leader in the not-for-profit field, Ms. Freeman brings more than twenty-five years of experience in executive recruitment. Her broad experience and multi-faceted knowledge base bring a complete perspective to the Firm's numerous clients. Throughout her career, Ms. Freeman has worked in a variety of capacities in the not-for-profit field. Prior to the establishment of her namesake firm, Ms. Freeman served as Vice President and Director for a national retained executive search firm, where she led the Development & Institutional Advancement practice. In this capacity, she managed all aspects of the search process, including client relationships, research, networking, qualification, and final selection of candidates.

Ryan T. Davenport, Director of Operations

Ryan T. Davenport is the Director of Operations for Freeman Philanthropic Services, L.L.C. Mr. Davenport, former FPS Office Manager, was thrilled to return to FPS as Director of Operations in 2011. With a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Missouri State University, Mr. Davenport danced professionally for over 15 years and produced a Las Vegas magic show for over eight years before transitioning to Corporate America in NYC and ultimately FPS. A proud member of the Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps Marching Band, he also enjoys travel and photography.

Brent DeLanoy, Writer

Brent DeLanoy is a freelance writer and photographer living in Oneonta, NY. He received his MFA in Writing in 2006 from New Mexico State University, after which he spent 10 years teaching undergraduate writing and literature. His fiction, nonfiction, and poetry have appeared in numerous journals and newspapers in print and online, including The Missouri Review, Sixfold, and decomP, among others. He now splits his time between creative work and freelance writing for not-for-profit organizations.

Michael J. Foy, President, Publishing Search Solutions; FPS Consultant

Michael is President of Publishing Search Solutions specializing in executive recruitment for the Publishing/Media space nationwide. He has matched exceptional talent with such companies as Professional Publications, Inc., Taylor and Francis, Big Ideas Learning and Lexis Nexis to name a few. He has written nearly a dozen articles on the evolving trends in media and what they mean to defining and then finding the appropriate talent. With over 20 years of experience conducting specialized talent searches he’s also been pleased to lend his expertise to Freeman Philanthropic Services for the worthwhile work they do in the not for profit sector.

Flavio Furtado, CEO, Building Quality Connections, LLC; Consultant, Targeted Candidate Research

Flavio is President of Building Quality Connections, LLC (BQC) and Target Candidate Research Consultant. Now a resident of New York City, he was born in Belo Horizonte, the capital and largest city of the state of Minas Gerais, located in the southeastern region of Brasil. Flavio, who is trilingual (Portuguese, English, and Spanish), specializes in executive recruitment for the not-for-profit community in Brasil. Flavio Dos Santos Furtado has worked on over 65 searches for FPS since 2009. He conducts targeted research to develop potential prospective candidates and he creates advertising strategies for postings. Current and recent searches include The Bronx Charter School for Children and Royall & Company. He has had extensive experience working for corporations throughout Brasil. For 20 years, he worked for Avaliadora Geral de Bens (AGB), a general property evaluations company. Flavio also volunteered for Centro Latino in a variety of capacities. Flavio attended Pitagoras and the University of Fumec, where he studied Civil Engineering. He also completed the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) First Course in Fundraising.

Gail Girardet, Consultant

Gail Girardet has been providing recruiting, research, and reference checking services to Freeman Philanthropic Services since the beginning of 2016. Prior to FPS she worked for ten years as the head of operations for a $1 billion private-equity firm overseeing and managing investor relations, human resources, financial reporting, and IT department. She also worked for 12 years with an international executive search firm managing high-level searches in financial services, healthcare, and for multi-national companies.

John C. Giuliano, Reference Consultant

John C. Giuliano has dedicated his life and career to the not-for profit sector since graduating from Arizona State University in 1989. He has been a frontline fundraiser in all aspects of development as a director of development and marketing, a director of development and alumni relations, and as an executive director. Utilizing his executive search and fundraising knowledge, John has been working for Freeman Philanthropic Services, LLC (FPS) since its inception. He has led searches for FPS clients and provided assistance on searches for over 20 years. He has been a guest lecturer on corporate philanthropy and cause-related marketing for NYU School of Professional Studies, George H. Heyman, Jr. Program for Philanthropy, and presented on numerous fundraising topics for the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Pati Drumm Grady, Senior Consultant

Pati Drumm Grady is a Senior Search Consultant for Freeman Philanthropic Services. She has been providing research-based consulting services to retained search firms and corporate clients for over 24 years. She was introduced to executive search when she joined the staff of MILAR, Europe's foremost provider of corporate research to the retained recruiting industry, as corporate librarian and researcher.

Ann Jeffrey, Senior Consultant

Ann Jeffrey has provided networking, recruiting and reference checking services to FPS since 2005. She works with FPS CEO, Gail Freeman, managing searches in the not-for-profit sector including higher education, healthcare and hospitals, arts and cultural institutions, advocacy, and social services. Functions for which she recruits include Chief Development Officer, Foundation President/CEO, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, and Executive Director, among others.

C. M. Peduto II (“Mike”), Executive Coach Consultant

C. M. Peduto II (“Mike”) is a veteran of more than 30 years in business leadership. After spending 4 years on a land surveying crew with a Baltimore based civil engineering firm, Mike joined Verizon where he enjoyed a career of over 28 years. At Verizon, he developed a rich experience as successful leader of a wide variety of high performance, technology-focused Operations work teams involved in the Engineering, Construction, Ordering, Provisioning and Maintenance of telecom services – both Retail and Wholesale. Inside Verizon, his strong interpersonal skills and penchant for learning allowed him to become an accomplished expert in organization development, business process change leadership, labor relations, and team formation and development. Mike was a key member of the Verizon Bargaining Team during two successive Labor Contract negotiations.

Irma M. Prishker, Recruitment Associate

Irma M. Prishker is a Recruitment Associate for Freeman Philanthropic Services, LLC (FPS). Irma received a Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing Concentration from University of Texas. Mrs. Prishker worked with a top brokerage real estate firm in New York City where she tailored dynamic marketing campaigns and materials for real estate agents, and managed over 46 of their social media accounts. She brought passion to FPS where she is currently responsible for managing its LinkedIn page. In coordination with the President, Irma manages candidates and client relationships and helped to close higher education searches. She is responsible for creating custom online advertising copy, creating and sending online marketing campaigns and newsletters, as well as providing strategic support for the firm.

Susan Reed, President, Reed Prospect Research; FPS Consultant

Susan Reed is the founder of Reed Prospect Research specializing in research and prospect management services for non-profit organizations. With more than a decade of prospect research experience, Ms. Reed provides strategic and actionable information for development directors, President/CEOs, board members, IT managers, and administrative staff. Her leadership in research includes arts organizations (The Metropolitan Opera), medical centers (The Mount Sinai Medical Center and The New England Baptist Hospital), higher education institutions (New York University), and religious centers (The Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding). She completed the Program on Negotiation at the Radcliffe Institute-Harvard University and received an MBA in Public and Non-Profit Management from Boston University and a BA in Psychology from Macalester College. Ms. Reed is delighted to be working with Freeman Philanthropic Services for their client research needs.
